Forresters is proud to once again partner with TBAT Innovation for The Innovation Challenge, an initiative designed to support SMEs with growing their business through innovation.
A key element of The Innovation Challenge is specialist workshops featuring expert speakers, intended to provide insightful advice on four critical topics: Finance, People & Recruitment, Product Development & Protection, and Commercialisation. Forresters is pleased to be taking part in the Product Development & Protection workshop and is also acting as the workshop’s sponsor.
This workshop is intended to provide advice and guidance to TBAT’s partner network on how to design effective products and services, as well as how to obtain protection for their innovations and ideas.
Forresters will provide a unique insight into the importance of protecting intellectual property, and how to effectively commercialise patents, trade marks and designs.
“It is a privilege to be sponsoring TBAT’s Innovation Challenge for a third consecutive year,” said Partner Jagvir Purewal, who will be presenting at the workshop. “Discussing protection at last year’s workshop with a group of passionate entrepreneurs and business owners was a truly rewarding experience, and we’re glad to have helped the winners with IP advice as part of their winning prize package. We look forward to the exciting discussions that are sure to follow at this year’s event.”
Senior Associate Greg Smith added: “We are excited to be working alongside TBAT for the TBAT Innovation Challenge again this year and always enjoy helping businesses navigate the complex world of IP on their paths to commercialising their innovations. The Innovation Challenge workshops provide fantastic introductions to key topics that should be considered by businesses on their commercialisation pathways, ranging from obtaining funding to product design and IP. Therefore, the workshops are a great way for SMEs to develop their understanding of these topics, ask those all-important questions, and to have someone with which they can follow up. It is great to be able to offer our expertise and share knowledge with the wider business community again.”
From 26th June – 18th August, businesses participating in The Innovation Challenge will also be able to submit a full business plan for the chance to win some incredible prizes, including a £5,000 cash prize and a business support package. Two runners-up will also receive a tailored support package from key partners involved in The Innovation Challenge.
The Innovation Challenge will culminate in a final event in October, where the winning business and runners-up will be announced.
TBAT’s workshops are free to attend and do not require entry into The Innovation Challenge. For more information on The Innovation Challenge, including how to book your place on one of these exciting workshops, visit TBAT’s website here.
