Niama is a Trainee Patent Attorney in our Munich office. She is currently working towards becoming a fully qualified UK and European Patent Attorney.

Technical Specialism

Niama has a background in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Pharmacology. Thanks to previous work roles, Niama has had first-hand experience in a hospital-based pharmacy environment, and has also offered bilingual client support in the medical supplies industry. She is able to assist clients in a range of technical areas including Chemistry, Pharmaceuticals and Life Sciences.

Education & Training

After graduating from the University of Ghent with a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Niama moved to Glasgow and obtained a Master’s degree in Advanced Pharmacology from the University of Strathclyde. Her final project involved analysing the NF-κB pathway, more specifically looking at IL-1β’s role in the immune system’s inflammatory response.

Niama works with a broad spectrum of clients at all stages of business development, and most often works within her specialist technical areas, particularly in the field of pharmaceutical sciences.

Personal Interests

Niama loves the outdoors, and can often be found hiking, wild swimming, paddleboarding, snowboarding and playing rugby in her free time. Visiting new countries and exploring the world is important to her, and she hopes to see more of the world in the future.
