I graduated from the University of Birmingham in Hispanic/Portuguese Studies. The course included enjoyable stints at the Pontificia Catholic University of Santiago de Chile and Coimbra University, Portugal.

I trained in private practice in the UK and qualified as a trade mark attorney in 2005.

In 2007 I changed gear and worked for youth development charity Raleigh International as a Project Leader and Interpreter in Costa Rica and Nicaragua. Thereafter I experienced life in Central America for 6 sun and tropical rain filled years. During that time I worked for the British Embassy from their Costa Rican post in a number of roles varying from Director of UKTI to Regional Sustainable Operations officer.

I came back into the IP world in 2013 at the Liverpool office of Forresters, and advise clients on their trade mark portfolios. This includes conducting clearance searches overseeing global filing programmes; filing and prosecuting applications, oppositions and cancellation actions.

In my spare time I enjoy eating good food in the company of good friends, walking and zip lining (although not necessarily in that order).
