Emma began her training as a patent attorney in September 2024. She has been working with experienced attorneys on European prosecution work, assisting in drafting reports and reviewing examination reports.
Technical Specialism
With a background in therapeutics, Emma works with gene therapies, such as CRISPR, as well as in stem cell therapies. During her masters, she specialized in pharmaceuticals, particularly in the process of discovering novel small molecule drugs.
Education & Training
Emma received a BSc in Medical Biosciences at Imperial College London, and stayed on to complete a Msc in Genes, Drugs and Stem Cells (Novel Therapies). Her studies focused on next-generation therapies in the areas of genetics, pharmaceuticals, and regenerative therapies. Shortly after graduating, she spent 6 months working for the technology transfer office at Imperial College London, helping advance novel technologies emerging from the college to market.
Personal Interests
Outside of work, Emma loves to travel, play sports and adding to her vinyl record collection.
