Emily Milan
Trainee Patent Attorney
Emily joined Forresters in September 2025 to begin her training as a patent attorney.
Emily’s multidisciplinary background equips her to deal with a wide range of technologies. She is particularly interested in green technologies, having specialised in renewable energy technologies during her studies.
She holds a DPhil and MEng in Materials Science from the University of Oxford. During her master’s degree, she completed a nine-month research project, focussed on superconductors, for which she was awarded the Ceramics Graduate of the Year prize from the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining. Her DPhil research focused on next-generation batteries, with an additional focus on materials for thermal energy storage.
In her spare time, Emily loves training for triathlons, being outdoors and playing board games with friends.
