We are pleased to congratulate our partner, Ross Walker, on achieving his European Patent Litigator certification. Ross completed an academic year-long course, hosted by the ERA Academy of European Law in conjunction with Maastricht University. The course involved more than 120 hours of training, included bimonthly lectures, together with three residential stints at ERA, which is located in Trier, Southern Germany.
Although Ross is already qualified as a Representative of the Unified Patent Court (UPC), this course helped to enhance his understanding of the procedure before the relatively new UPC. It also gave him the chance to put his advocacy skills into practice through a number of challenging mock trials with real judges presiding.
