Intervent Cardio win 2024 TBAT Innovation Challenge

Intervent Cardio was crowned the winner of the 2024 TBAT Innovation Challenge, sponsored by Forresters.

Intervent Cardio has developed a medical device which addresses cardiac pump failure in patients with heart disease.

Founder David Adlam’s winning pitch at the Innovation Challenge final in Leicester on 9 October secured a £5,000 cash prize and part of a support package worth £65,000.

Runners-up Flux Aviation and Hubl Logistics will also receive a support package, intended to assist them with further development of their projects.

Forresters Senior Associate Greg Smith was on the judging panel and with Partner Jagvir Purewal, hosted a workshop on product development and protection, to SMEs who participated in the Innovation Challenge.

Greg said: “Once again the standard of entries to the Innovation Challenge was incredibly high. Intervent Cardio not only stood out to the judges, they captured the imagination of the audience who voted them their winner on the night. Intervent Cardio were worthy recipients of the Innovation Challenge award and I wish them every success.”
