The day has been implemented by UNESCO and UN-Women and is celebrated each year on 11 February.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Forresters is proud to mark this day and to recognise the importance of full and equal access to and participation in science for women and girls. This is also UNESCO\u2019s main aim for declaring this day as unfortunately women scientists are still underrepresented and struggle to get recognition for their achievements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By joining the conversation about the importance for achieving gender equality and diversity, we would like to contribute to ending gender bias that holds girls back from pursuing a career in the STEM sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Forresters has an established group for Equality and Diversity whose goal is to foster an environment which truly represents our colleagues.
