Forresters was proud to support the\u00a0University of Chester<\/a>\u2018s Venture Pitch programme once again this year, a unique opportunity for student entrepreneurs to pitch their business ideas to a panel of judges and be in with a chance of winning bespoke business support prizes.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On this year\u2019s judging panel was Forresters Senior Associate David Murphy<\/a>, who told us:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am always impressed by the enthusiasm of the student entrepreneurs involved in Venture Pitch. Their ideas and business plans show real promise, and it is clear that a great deal of thought and effort goes into their presentations. It is a privilege for Forresters to be involved in this programme and provide initial IP support to help these budding entrepreneurs take their first steps into the world of business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fifteen entrepreneurs received prizes at the event, including Angharad Davies and her business partner Georgia Croud, who founded Goodgirl Creative. Their business connects women and promotes self-expression through empowerment-focused photography and events.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to business and marketing coaching, Angharad and Georgia received a trade mark consultation with Forresters Partner Kate Cruse<\/a>. Forresters are providing the fees required for Angharad and Georgia to pursue a trade mark application. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the consultation, Kate said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was a pleasure to discuss the importance of trade mark registration with Angharad. It is clear Angharad and Georgia are passionate about their brand and contributing to positive change.
