Forresters were proud to once again sponsor the Innovation Challenge, a unique opportunity for businesses to showcase their commitment to innovation and progress within their industries. The final of this year\u2019s Challenge was held on 11th October, where groundbreaking sepsis test innovators, Septest Limited<\/a>, claimed the top prize: a business support package valued at \u00a350,000, including an intellectual property audit by Forresters. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Septest\u2019s innovative test for sepsis can lead to faster diagnosis and a greater chance of a positive outcome for patients. The company recognised the need for innovation; sepsis is one of the world\u2019s deadliest diseases, and current tests can take hours to produce results. Septest\u2019s product can provide a diagnosis within minutes, and is likely to have a profound impact on the future treatment of the disease. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ten finalists competed for the prize package. Fellow finalists Heartfelt Technologies<\/a> received a runner-up prize for their AI-supported non-contact telemonitoring solution for heart failure patients. Zeal Lifestyle<\/a> also won a prize for their innovative work in the assisted living sector. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Forresters\u2019 Senior Associate, Greg Smith<\/a>, who was on the judging panel for Workshop 3 at this year\u2019s Innovation Challenge<\/a> and attended this year\u2019s final, said: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is always a rewarding experience to hear the passion and determination of businesses taking part in the Innovation Challenge. All this year\u2019s finalists show immense promise, and Septest are certainly worthy winners.
