We have significant experience in advising corporate clients of all sizes – from start-ups through to large multinational conglomerates having hundreds of registered IP rights on our books. SMEs and large corporate entities make up a significant proportion of our domestic client base, too, and we make great efforts to get ‘under the skin’ of these businesses and develop high-level and enduring relationships with them.
As part of that effort, we try to visit the client’s premises and meet the senior personnel at an early stage to gain a ‘first-hand’ insight into what the business is all about, and what its challenges and needs might be. Commercial awareness is key for us, here – a detailed knowledge of the client’s operations (not just its IP requirements) is invaluable in enabling us to advise on a variety of issues, and to provide commercially-relevant guidance, whatever the size of the business.
